3-Vehicle Fiery Crash on 57 Freeway in San Dimas Ends in Fatality
SAN DIMAS, CA (June 19, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a fiery crash Wednesday evening in San Dimas.
The crash happened around 9:56 p.m., on southbound 57 Freeway at Covina Boulevard off-ramp.
At least three vehicles, including a semi-tractor trailer truck, were involved. Firefighters responded to the scene and put out the fire in one of the vehicles. Paramedics also arrived to give aid to the victims.
Sadly, at least one fatality was reported as a result of the crash. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
A SigAlert was issued, blocking the first, second and third lanes of the freeway for unknown duration while crews worked on the scene.
There were no further details about what happened, but the CHP is heading up the investigation.
