Morning Crash on 5 Freeway in Laguna Niguel Turns Fatal

 
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (October 19, 2019) – One person was killed following a traffic collision Saturday morning in Laguna Niguel.
 
The crash happened around 8:38 a.m. on northbound 5 Freeway, just north of Highway 73. According to an initial report by the CHP, a body was found in the middle of the roadway, possibly had landed on a red pickup truck.
 
Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed the fatality of the incident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
The incident is still on active investigation while the authorities are putting the pieces together.
