Delivery Van and Semi Truck Collide on Highway 299 in Redding Killing One
REDDING, CA (January 3, 2020) – One person was killed following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Redding, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on Highway 99 near Deschutes Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a delivery van and a semi-truck collided for unknown reasons. As a result, one person died at the scene. Another patient sustained minor injuries and was treated at the hospital.
Officials closed the Highway 299 in both directions for about two hours while they investigated the crash.
