Two Vehicles Involved in Collision near State Street

SANTA BARBARA, CA (December 1, 2018) – On Saturday morning, one person was injured after a rollover crash on Mission Street. The victim’s name and place of residence were not immediately disclosed.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 7:40 AM, near State Street. Based on reports, the incident involved a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Volkswagen Jetta. The Tacoma reportedly overturned and landed on its side.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the truck driver to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further medical evaluation. Fortunately, the driver’s condition was not life-threatening, but there is no update on his current medical condition. The other driver was reportedly not injured.

Roads were blocked as clearing operations took place in the area. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, as it remains under investigation by the Santa Barbara Police Department.
