One Dies in State Route 78 Bicycle Crash [Escondido, CA]

Escondido, CA (August 22, 2021) – On Saturday, one dies in State Route 78 bicycle crash.

The fatal two-vehicle crash took place shortly after 9 p.m., on the freeway’s eastbound lanes, in the Centre City Parkway area.

Reports said first responders closed the eastbound freeway to attend to the accident. But they reopened all lanes by about 10:50 p.m.

Police officers are still investigating the State Route 78 bicycle crash.
