1 Person Dead in Fremont DUI Accident on 45000 Fremont Boulevard

FREMONT, CA (May 8, 2024) – Friday night, authorities arrested Hung Vuu after a horrific DUI crash on 45000 Fremont Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on the 45000 block of Fremont Boulevard.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a pedestrian, and then struck a traffic signal pole a quarter of a mile away.

Moreover, the Fremont Fire Department and medical personnel pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, 58-year-old Vuu of Sunnyvale, on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage causing injury. Then, paramedics transported Vuu to an area hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
