Sacramento, CA (December 25, 2020) – On Wednesday, a person died after being struck by two vehicles in an accident on Interstate 5.
 
The fatal incident took place late at night on the northbound side of the freeway near the American River Bridge.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the victim was first struck by an unknown vehicle which immediately fled the scene.
 
Then, the victim was also struck by a big rig whose driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
It has not yet identified which of the collisions killed the victim. Also, if the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
