Pharr, TX (September 21, 2024) On Friday morning, a Pharr police officer was injured in a frightening traffic crash on Jackson Road.

According to Pharr Police, the officer was struck by a car while directing traffic at the intersection of Jackson and Moore Roads around 8 a.m.

Reports say that a driver of a gray Ford Mustang entered the intersection and hit the officer. The driver immediately pulled over after the collision.

The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment of leg pain and has since been released.
