Off-Road Motorcycle Rider Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Vernon Avenue [Modesto, CA]

Modesto, CA (February 18, 2022) – On Wednesday, an off-road motorcycle rider, a 34-year-old Modesto man, sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Vernon Avenue.

The fatal crash happened minutes after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection with Paradise Road.

The authorities say the rider was going through the intersection when an unknown driver suddenly went right into the rider’s path. 

As a result, the motorcycle collided into the vehicle’s right side.

Unfortunately, the rider died at the crash scene, while the vehicle’s driver fled after the incident.

Officers withheld the victim’s name pending notification of his family.
