Two Vehicles Hit Pedestrians in North Highlands Killing One and Badly Injuring the Other
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (January 9, 2019) – A man was killed following a pedestrian crash Wednesday evening in North Highlands.
The fatal crash happened around 9:48 p.m. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Date Avenue.
According to an initial report, two pedestrians, a man and a woman, were walking southbound in the crosswalk at Madison and Date avenues when they were hit by a vehicle in the slow lane before they were hit a second time by another vehicle.
The man was killed in the crash, while the woman suffered major injuries. Their identities were not immediately available.
Both involved drivers stopped and stayed at the scene.
The eastbound traffic of Madison Avenue was blocked at Date Avenue while officers conducted their investigation.
