Pedestrian Accident in North Highlands Turns Deadly

 
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (January 10, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed, and another suffered major injuries Wednesday night after being struck by two vehicles at Madison and Date avenues.
 
The incident happened around 10 p.m. when the man and woman were walking southbound in the crosswalk at the intersection.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the pair was hit by a car in the slow lane before being hit by a second vehicle. CHP confirmed that the man died, and the woman sustained major injuries.
 
Both drivers remained at the scene and were interviewed by authorities. More on this crash is under investigation.
