Three-Car Wreck in National City Leaves 9 With Injuries
NATIONAL CITY, CA (December 21, 2018) – Nine people were hospitalized Thursday afternoon following a three-car collision on Paradise Valley Road near Plaza Boulevard.
The crash took place just before 1 p.m. on Paradise Valley Road just east of Plaza Boulevard, according to Lt. Rounds with National City Police Department.
Reports say that the driver of a white Scion was speeding westbound on Plaza Boulevard and lost control before veering into the oncoming lane. The Scion then collided with a dark-colored Hyundai, which crashed into a dark-colored Subaru.
Four passengers from the Scion, three passengers and the driver from the Hyundai and the driver of the Subaru were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
