Nathan Craig Rogers Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Goetz Road
Perris, CA (January 16, 2021) – On Thursday, police arrested 28-year-old Nathan Rogers in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Goetz Road.
The fatal crash took place at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mapes Road.
Allegedly, he struck a bicyclist in Perris and then drove away as the victim was left dying on the road.
The bicyclist sustained major trauma and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Rogers fled the scene. However, the authorities later found him and took him to the Perris Sheriff’s Station for questioning.
They booked Rogers into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of felony fatal hit-and-run and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence.
Additionally, they held him in lieu of $75,000 bail, and was due to appear in court Wednesday.
Meanwhile, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the hit and run. The authorities continue to investigate the incident.
