Pedestrian Hospitalized in Napa Hit-and-Run Crash
NAPA, CA (January 17, 2019) – A 62-year-old Napa woman was seriously injured Tuesday evening after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Soscol Avenue near Lincoln Avenue.
Around 6:42 p.m., officers responded to reports of a major injury crash that involved a car and a pedestrian in the 1900 block of Soscol Avenue.
The victim was brought to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in critical condition; however, the car involved left before officers could arrive on time. Witnesses did, however, see the vehicle and described it as a dark-colored sedan that most likely sustained front-end or windshield damage.
Investigators have gathered, thus far, that the car was traveling southbound on Soscol Avenue when it struck the woman who was crossing in the southbound lanes, outside of a marked crosswalk.
An investigation of this incident is underway. Witnesses are urged to call Officer Aaron Medina at 707-257-9223 or email [email protected] if they have any information.
