1 Injured in Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 101
SANTA BARBARA, CA (February 3, 2020) — At least one person suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Hope Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 10:25 a.m. in the northbound lanes.
As a result of the crash, one person sustained minor injuries and was brought to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Authorities determined that five vehicles collided under unknown circumstances. One vehicle ended up facing the wrong way of traffic after being spun around.
Following the crash, officials closed the left-hand lane of the freeway near Hope Avenue for investigative reasons. By 11:15 a.m., they re-opened the lanes to commuters.
