Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 76 in Pala Mesa
PALA MESA, CA (October 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed following a traffic collision with a car Saturday night in Pala Mesa.
The fatal crash happened around 6:21 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 76 and 15 Freeway.
CHP officials said a male teen from Temecula was driving with two passengers in a 2010 Honda Pilot along eastbound Highway 76. The driver was turning onto 15 Freeway when he crashed into a 2008 Harley-Davidson approaching the intersection.
Both the motorcyclist and his 43-year-old female passenger were ejected from the bike.
As a result, the unidentified motorcyclist died at the scene.
Paramedics transported the woman to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for treatment of her injuries.
The juvenile driver and his passengers were not injured.
Authorities closed the Highway 76 until 8:40 p.m. while they investigated the crash.
