Rider Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Menlo Park
MENLO PARK, CA (April 22, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday morning following a collision with a Jeep on Highway 101 near Willow Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 3:30 a.m. crash involved a 2014 Jeep SUV and 2008 Suzuki motorcycle.
It is unclear how the crash precisely occurred, say officers, but both vehicles sustained significant damage.
As a result of the crash, the 34-year-old East Palo Alto man operating the Suzuki died at the scene. The 35-year-old Jeep driver, however, complained of no injuries.
CHP officers are continuing their investigation to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
Our thoughts and sincere sympathies go out to the bereaved family and friends of the victim.
