1 Hurt in Lake Elsinore Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 74 near Hammack Avenue

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (February 4, 2021) – Wednesday evening, a motorcyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 74 near Hammack Avenue.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 6:15 p.m Moreover, a westbound Suzuki dirt bike traveled on Highway 74 east of Hammack Avenue with no lighting equipment.
 
Meanwhile, an eastbound gray four-door 2006 Ford F-250 on Highway 74 turned north towards Hammack Avenue. Then, the vehicle went into the path of the motorcycle. Afterward, the truck struck the right side of the motorcycle.
 
The force of the crash ejected the 24-year-old Lake Elsinore motorcyclist from his vehicle. Then, the truck driver parked the vehicle on Hammack Avenue and fled the scene on foot towards the north.
 
Also, responders from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department and CHP aided the victim and transported the motorcyclist to Inland Valley Medical Center.
 
Authorities ask everyone with information regarding the crash to contact CHP’s Temecula Area office.
