Motorcyclist Dies in Crash With Truck at Highway 79 and Olde Highway 80 [Descanso, CA]

Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Descanso

 
DESCANSO, CA (March 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist lost his life Monday following a crash with a pickup truck at Highway 79 and Olde Highway 80.
 
Around 4:25 a.m., the 56-year-old rider tried laying down his two-wheeler on the road in an attempt to avoid a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado in his path. At the time, per reports, the 21-year-old man driving the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado tried making a left turn after making a southbound stop at the stop sign on Highway 79.
 
Despite the evasion, the Suzuki rider from Guatay plowed into the truck and died as a result of his severe injuries.
 
The Silverado driver pulled over and remained at the scene. Following the initial investigation, authorities learned that impairment did not play a role.
