Motorcyclist Collides With Driver and Dies in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA (June 3, 2019) – A 27-year-old man died in Saturday’s motorcycle crash on Olde Highway 80 near Bond Avenue.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Travis Garrow, the 5:25 p.m. incident happened on the eastbound side just west of Bond Avenue.
The unidentified motorcyclist, traveling on Olde Highway 80, collided with a 2010 Hyundai Accent.
Per news reports, the Hyundai’s 19-year-old female driver from Jamul was attempting a U-turn. However, both collided and the impact hurled the Santee rider from his bike.
Due to the victim’s severe injuries, paramedics brought him to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he died shortly after.
At the scene, the woman stayed and cooperated with officers who subsequently ruled out impairment as a contributing factor.
