Bakersfield, CA (August 20, 2021) On Thursday, a motorcycle rider died in a fatal crash on Weedpatch Highway and Bear Mountain Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol says that the collision happened around 8:45 p.m. near Lamont.

Authorities say that a motorcycle collided with another vehicle.

Police pronounced the motorcycle dead at the scene.

The CHP is investigating the incident and the reason for the crash is not known at the moment.
