Moreno Valley Woman Killed in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 259 [San Bernardino, CA]

San Bernardino, CA (September 24, 2021) – On Sunday, a Moreno Valley woman suffered fatal injuries in a suspected DUI crash on Highway 259.

The fatal incident took place at about  2:17 a.m. north of 27th Street.

Investigating officers said the woman was driving a northbound Subaru when she was hit by the wrong-way driver.

Unfortunately, the woman died at the accident scene.

Meanwhile, rescuers took the wrong-way driver to a hospital in critical yet stable condition.

Due to the extent of his injuries, the wrong-way driver has not been able to speak to investigators.

Officers believe drugs/alcohol were factors in this incident.
