Monte Nieuwendorp Killed in Whatcom County Pedestrian Accident
Lynden, WA (November 20, 2020) – On Thursday, 60-year-old Monte Nieuwendorp lost his life in a pedestrian accident on Birch Bay Lynden Road.
The fatal Lynden crash happened at about 8:13 PM.
Nieuwendorp was walking in the eastbound lane of Birch Bay Lynden Road near the Percie Road intersection.
Then suddenly, a green 2001 Honda Odyssey that also was moving eastbound on Birch Bay Lynden Road struck him.
The Blaine couple inside the Odyssey did not get injured from the crash.
Meanwhile, authorities do not believe and drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly accident.
