Samuel Ramos Involved in Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Kennewick
Kennewick, WA (July 16, 2022) – On Tuesday, Monique Garcia, 41, of Pasco, died, while Samuel Ramos, 44, of Richland, was involved in a motorcycle collision on Highway 397.
According to the authorities, Samuel Ramos and Monique Garcia on a southbound motorcycle were approaching Bowles Road. Ramos tried to pass a pickup hauling a horse trailer and moved into the opposite lane.
However, the truck made a left turn to a parking lot in front of the motorcycle. As a result, the motorcycle struck the truck and its trailer.
Both Monique Garcia and Samuel Ramos were pinned underneath the trailer.
Immediately, the rescuers rushed Monique Garcia to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick where she died shortly before 1:20 a.m.
There is no information on Samuel Ramos’ condition.
Meanwhile, officers say Samuel Ramos and Monique Garcia were wearing helmets when the fatal crash in Kennewick happened.
Officers added that drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the incident.
27-year-old Kala Null of Kennewick, the truck driver, did not sustain injuries in the collision.
