Motorcyclist Killed in Borrego Valley Motorcycle Accident on Tilting T Drive
BORREGO VALLEY, CA (December 27, 2019) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Tilting T Drive near Borrego Valley Road in Borrego Valley.
The 66-year-old man reportedly borrowed a friend’s motorcycle Sunday around 4:00 p.m. However, when he failed to return after half an hour later as he’d mentioned, his friend and wife fervently searched for him only to find him missing.
Investigators believe that the unidentified man crashed the bike. In addition, police stated it happened two miles from where he began his ride that day.
Around 8:15 a.m. Monday, dispatchers responded to a person who found a man along Tilting T Drive near the Borrego Springs and Club Circle resorts.
Authorities pieced two and two together and determined that the victim pinned under the motorcycle, just off the roadway, was the man who’d gone missing Sunday. However, police did not provide more information.
The identity of the fatal victim will be withheld until the next of kin is notified. However, it is unclear at this point what drove the crash, but investigators believe no other vehicle had been involved.
Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the bereaved family and friends of the victim. We hope they find comfort in those around them.
