Mike Ashworth Killed in Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway Near Highway 512

 
TACOMA, WA (April 3, 2019) – A motorcyclist died Friday afternoon after crashing his bike on the 5 Freeway near Highway 512.
 
The incident happened in the afternoon, with Suzie Ashworth to witness it all.
 
Suzie was traveling behind Mike Ashworth – her husband – on their way to Granite Falls from Portland. The couple had just purchased a bike and on their way home when things took a turn for the worst.
 
The traffic slowed down, causing Mike to swerve and crash the motorcycle. As a seasoned rider who had yet to attain his proper license to ride, Mike died at the scene.
 
At this time, the Washington State Patrol is investigating this deadly crash. Meanwhile, the family has a GoFundMe page listed to help garner funds for Mike’s memorial.
