Deputy Injured after Marysville Accident near F and 3rd Street
MARYSVILLE, CA (October 2, 2022) – Saturday, authorities arrested Michael Williams after a pursuit crash near F and 3rd Street.
The incident began when Michael Williams drove a stolen Ford F-150. Then, deputies tried a traffic stop which prompted Williams to momentarily stop. However, he eventually sped away.
Afterward, Williams struck the driver’s side of the patrol vehicle, injuring a deputy. Then, he continued driving away until he reached a dead end near F and 3rd Street.
Thus, Williams reversed and rammed into another patrol vehicle several times.
Then, Williams drove through a gate and into a sewage drain which stopped the vehicle. However, Williams began fleeing on foot.
Afterward, Williams climbed a cell tower to a height of around 150 feet and stayed up there for six hours. Eventually, the Yuba County Crisis Negotiation Team managed to get him to come down.
Authorities arrested Williams and are facing multiple felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.
