Fresno, CA (October 18, 2020) – On Friday, 48-year-old Michael Martinez of Fresno died in a hit-and-run crash on First Street and Ashlan Avenue.
 
The fatal accident took place before 8 p.m. in central Fresno.
 
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying in the road about a mile south of the Fashion Fair mall.
 
The authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Furthermore, the investigating officer said the victim was crossing the intersection, when a vehicle traveling north on First Street struck him.
 
Police continue to search for the suspected driver who may have been in a red truck.
