Michael LeBlanc, Beth Atkinson and Pickup Driver Die in Head-On Collision Along Highway 190 Near Globe Drive
SPRINGVILLE, CA (July 2, 2019) – Three people died Saturday morning following a head-on collision on Highway 190 near Globe Drive.
According to reports, the 8:10 a.m. accident involved a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a white Ford Ranger pickup truck.
Family members identified Michael LeBlanc, of Springville, as one of the fatal victims.
CHP officers say the 52-year-old was operating a black Harley-Davidson westbound on Highway 190 at an unknown speed. For unexplained reasons, he allowed his motorcycle to cross over the double yellow lines and crash into the Ford Ranger.
LeBlanc and 55-year-old Beth Jo Atkinson–his passenger–died in the accident. The 94-year-old male Ford driver from Springville also perished in the crash. His name, however, remains unknown.
Authorities are investigating this deadly incident further to ascertain the details and cause.
