1 Person Hurt in Susanville Auto Accident on Warner Valley Road
SUSANVILLE, CA (September 26, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, authorities arrested Michael Jacobs after an alarming DUI crash on Warner Valley Road.
The incident happened at around 3:40 p.m. on Warner Valley Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup veered off the roadway and crashed. Then, the force of the crash ejected a 14-year-old female passenger of the vehicle, who was seated in the pickup bed of the Chevrolet with no safety equipment, into the roadway.
Moreover, responders airlifted the girl to Enloe Medical Center, and later to UC Davis Medical Center, with major injuries.
Furthermore, officers arrested the 45-year-old vehicle’s driver on suspicion of DUI.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
