Passenger Michael Crocketts Dead, Brianne Broom Arrested in Fresno DUI Accident
Fresno, CA (November 17, 2020) – On Monday, Michael Crocketts died, while police arrested Brianne Broom in a DUI crash on Highway 41.
The fatal Fresno crash happened before 12:30 p.m. when Broom and her 27-year-old passenger were driving a Ford Focus traveling south of Shaw Avenue at a high rate of speed.
California Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Salas said Broom, 28, lost control of the vehicle. She drove onto the right dirt embankment and her vehicle overturned.
Michael Crocketts was ejected from the vehicle, into the embankment.
Immediately, the rescuers took him to Community Regional Medical Center, where medics later pronounced the Fresno resident dead.
Broom suffered minor injuries from the Highway 41 crash. Authorities arrested her on suspicion of felony DUI
(driving under the influence) and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
