Michael Carrasco Dead in Indio Pedestrian Accident on Highway 11

 
INDIO, CA (August 26, 2019) – An Indio man identified as 32-year-old Michael Carrasco died after a pedestrian crash on Friday, August 23.
 
According to Indio police, Carrasco was walking outside of a marked crosswalk on Highway 111 around 9:30 p.m. There, a Toyota Camry eventually struck him near Indio Boulevard.
 
Carrasco later died around 2:55 a.m., on Saturday at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
 
Furthermore, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
The initial investigation showed drugs and alcohol were not factors in the incident.
