Rider Tossed from Bike Fatally Struck by Car in Menifee
MENIFEE, CA (April 27, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a car early Saturday morning during light-fog conditions.
The crash happened around 4:29 a.m. on northbound 215 Freeway at Scott Road.
A 34-year-old Escondido man was riding a 2001 Honda CBR when he lost control and was ejected from his bike. He was wearing a helmet.
A 2012 Volkswagen Passat was going at 65 mph and the driver was unable to see the rider and struck him.
The Escondido man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. The incident is still under investigation.
