Rhonda McCann Involved in Suspected DUI Crash on Northeast 50th Avenue
Battle Ground, WA (May 9, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, 29-year-old Megan Pittman of Vancouver was hurt in a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 502.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the suspected DUI crash happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection with Northeast 50th Avenue.
Reports say that a southbound 2014 Volkswagen Passat entered the intersection in front of a westbound 2018 Kia Soul, and the Kia struck the Volkswagen. The impact of the collision left the Volkswagen facing the wrong way and blocking lanes. Meanwhile, the Kia ended on the left side.
Officials say that the Volkswagen’s driver, identified as 53-year-old Rhonda McCann from Vancouver, did not suffer injuries. However, Megan Pittman suffered injuries and was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.
Authorities suspect impairment played a factor in the collision. Both vehicles were wrecked and inoperable after the crash.
