Max Tehrani Recovers, Janette Brockman Involved in Bicycle Collision on Hilltop Drive Near Browning Street
REDDING, CA (December 6, 2018) – The 19-year-old Redding man who was critically hurt after being struck by a motorist on Hilltop Drive near Browning Street on Nov. 27 is recovering.
Around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Max Tehrani was on his way to his job at Starbucks as a barista. As he was pedaling his bike southbound on Hilltop Drive in heavy rain and wearing dark clothing, his bicycle was struck by a southbound vehicle, driven by 39-year-old Janette Brockman, of Redding.
Tehrani was in critical condition and suffered serious injuries after being knocked off his bike without wearing a helmet.
Recent reports have confirmed that his condition was upgraded to fair after recovering at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Following the crash, Brockman stayed at the scene and was unharmed.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered to be factors in the wreck, but the crash remains under investigation and witnesses are encouraged to come forward and consult with the Redding police if they have additional information.
