1 Person Killed and Several Hurt in Antelope Valley Motorcycle Accident on State Route 18 and 263rd Street
ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA (March 1, 2022) – Sunday, Marybell Delgadillo, Maria Delapaz, and others suffered injuries in a deadly crash on State Route 18.
The incident happened at about 1:15 p.m. on State Route 18 and 263rd Street East.
According to reports, a female driver of a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveled with a male passenger. As they headed east on State Route 18, they drove across the double yellow lines into the westbound lane. Then, the motorcycle collided head-on with a westbound 2021 Toyota on State Route 18.
As a result, the female motorcyclist succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, responders took her passenger to Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries. At this time, their identities remain undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Meanwhile, the Toyota occupants, 31-year-old Marybell Delgadillo and 67-year-old Maria Delapaz Lozano, both sustained minor injuries.
“The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs is unknown at this time and is still under investigation,” the CHP said.
