Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Wreck in Martinez

 
MARTINEZ, CA (December 31, 2018) – A 37-year-old man lost his life Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash in the 800 block of Howe Road near Old Orchard Road.
 
The 37-year old man was found trapped in the passenger car of a parked commercial vehicle, according to police. The victim was unresponsive, extricated from the vehicle and shuttled to a hospital where he died.
 
Police stated that it appears the man was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the crash since no other victims were located.
 
The identity of the man will be released once the next of kin has been notified. The details regarding the events leading to the collision are still under investigation.
