Martha Mejia Hit by Car near Home on Clinton Avenue in Fresno
Fresno, CA (October 26, 2020) – On Saturday, a 55-year-old Martha Mejia died in a pedestrian accident on Clinton Avenue in Central Fresno.
The Fresno fatal accident took place at about 7:15 p.m west of Cedar Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene wherein the woman was struck and killed as she was crossing a street in central Fresno.
Further, CHP spokesman Mike Salas said the victim exited her car on the south side of Clinton Avenue. Then, she entered the roadway to cross the street to enter her residence.
Shortly after, she was struck by the car.
Meanwhile, the suspect driver and three occupants of the Toyota did not sustain injuries from hitting the woman.
Further, the authorities closed the Eastbound lanes of Clinton Avenue for 45 minutes to investigate the accident.

The investigating officer did not find drugs and alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
