Wrong-Way School Bus Collides with Pickup Truck near Ashlan Avenue
FRESNO, CA (March 28, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries late Thursday evening following a wrong-way crash near Ashlan Avenue.
According to the Fresno California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 10:50 PM. A 2019 Thomas Bus, driven by 55-year-old Dianne Bell, was traveling south on Highway 99 when it entered the northbound lanes. There, it collided with a 2008 Ford F150 driven by 50-year-old Marilyn Gorman
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and treated Gorman for minor injuries. Meanwhile, Bell did not suffer injuries in the collision. Authorities confirmed that no students were in the school bus at the time of the crash.
Investigators believe that impairment did not play a role in the accident. An investigation is ongoing to identify other possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
