Maria Isabel Lopez Faces Charges in Wewoka Drive Fatal Crash [El Paso, TX]

El Paso, TX (November 24, 2023) – 23-year-old Maria Isabel Lopez of Socorro is facing charges following a Wewoka Drive fatal crash Saturday.

The fatal DUI collision happened on November 4 in the 200 block area.

Investigating officers said Lopez was driving a utility terrain vehicle while intoxicated.

The victim was riding in the bed of the UTV when Lopez lost control of the vehicle.

As a result, the victim was ejected from the UTV bed and sustained fatal injuries.

Lopez surrendered herself to the police on Tuesday. She is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
