1 Dead and Several Injured in Tracy Accident on 11th Street and Bird Road

 
TRACY, CA (April 27, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, Maria Esquer of Patterson died in a crash on 11th Street and Bird Road.
 
The incident happened at 2:26 p.m. on 11th Street and Bird Road.
 
According to reports, a 70-year-old Lathrop man drove a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. As he traveled east on 11th Street approaching the intersection of Bird Road, he failed to yield at a red light.
 
Meanwhile, a southbound 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser on Bird Road approached the intersection with 11th Street under a green light.
 
Eventually, the Tahoe hit the passenger’s side of the PT Cruiser. As a result, 59-year-old Maria Esquer of Patterson died in the right-front passenger’s seat.
 
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old Patterson woman driving the PT Cruiser and a 10-year-old girl in the rear seat sustained minor injuries.
 
Also, the Tahoe driver and a 68-year-old woman passenger both suffered moderate injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers confirmed that everyone wore seatbelts. Also, they do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
