1 Hurt in Othello Bicycle Crash on State Route 26 near 1st Avenue
OTHELLO, WA (December 16, 2021) – Wednesday night, 29-year-old Marco Martinez suffered injuries in a bicycle accident on State Route 26.
The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. on westbound State Route 26 near 1st Avenue.
According to reports, Marco Martinez improperly rode in the lane of traffic. Then, 48-year-old Wayne Allen of Seattle driving an ambulance hit him.
Reports said that Allen might face charges once the Patrol filed them with the Adams County Prosecutor’s Office.
Also, reports confirmed that Allen and his 51-year-old passenger, Jon Brennan of Auburn suffered no injuries in the crash. Both of them wore seat belts.
Meanwhile, responders took Martinez to a hospital in Othello. Then, they airlifted the patient to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
