54-Year-Old Manuel Olivas Killed in Interstate 805 Motorcycle Crash
San Diego, CA (December 1, 2020) – On Thursday, 54-year-old Manuel Olivas of Hilmar died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 805.
The fatal crash took place at about 5:24 p.m. near the State Route 163 off-ramp.
Olivas was the driver and sole occupant of a motorcycle traveling northbound on Interstate 805.
At the same time, a pickup truck merged into the same lane and clipped the rear tire of the Olivas’ motorcycle.
As a result, he lost control of his motorcycle and swerved off the roadway.
Paramedics provided life-saving procedures, but Olivas still died at the scene.
Authorities said his cause of death was blunt force injuries of the head sustained in the 805 Freeway accident. They notified Olivas’ next of kin.
