1 Dead in Ramona Pedestrian Accident
RAMONA, CA (February 27, 2019) – A 73-year-old male pedestrian from Ramona died after being hit by a pickup truck on February 26.
The CHP revealed that the Ford F-150 struck the pedestrian after 9:30 a.m. According to reports, the driver was turning left from southbound 7th Street onto Highway 78 in Ramona.
The pedestrian was flown to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he later died. In addition, the police stated that the victim had the right of way.
The pedestrian ’s identity was not released since his family is yet to be notified.
Drugs or alcohol were not considered as a factor in the collision, CHP public-affairs Officer Travis Garrow said.
