26-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Being Hit by Vehicle in Crash on Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Drive

Vallejo, CA (July 23, 2021) – A fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Drive occurred on early Tuesday morning.

On July 20, Vallejo police responded to a report of a collision on Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Drive at about 5:15 a.m. Officers spotted the 26-year-old man from Redwood City down on the road.

Responders from Vallejo Fire Department pronounced the man dead on the scene. However, authorities have not released his complete identification. 

The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

It is unclear what events led up to the collision. Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident. 

This report marks Vallejo’s eighth traffic-related fatality this year.
