Pedestrian Dies in Crash on Mission Gorge Road
San Diego, CA (March 27, 2021) – On Friday night, a car struck and killed a male pedestrian in a crash on Mission Gorge Road.
The fatal incident took place on March 26 in the 6100 block of Mission Gorge Road. According to the San Diego Police, the man was crossing the westbound lanes when the vehicle struck him.
Due to the impact of the crash, the man died at the scene however, his identification is being withheld pending notification of his next-kin.
Meanwhile, authorities identified the driver of the vehicle as the 39-year-old woman driving a 2018 Nissan Altima. San Diego police officer Robert Heims said that neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the incident.
Furthermore, the department’s Traffic Division is conducting an ongoing investigation of the crash.
