1 Hospitalized after Coachella Pedestrian Accident on Cesar Chavez Street

 
COACHELLA, CA (March 24, 2020) – On March 19, a hit-and-run driver struck and injured a man in an accident on Cesar Chavez Street.
 
The authorities have been looking for the involved motorist who’s still at large following the crash in Coachella.
 
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department revealed that the hit-and-run pedestrian crash occurred on Thursday at around 9:20 p.m. It took place on the Cesar Chavez Street and Bagdad Avenue intersection.
 
When the deputies arrived at the crash scene, they located an injured male pedestrian on the road. Medical responders then transported the pedestrian to a local hospital to receive treatment for unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the sheriff’s officials confirmed that the involved driver escaped the crash scene before their arrival.
 
The authorities are now urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run pedestrian accident to call Deputy Lackey of the Thermal Sheriff’s Station at 760-863-8990.
