Male Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Union Road

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (December 5, 2018) – A man was seriously injured Wednesday evening following a pedestrian accident on North River Road. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed to the public.
 
According to the Paso Robles Police Department, the incident happened near Union Road, at about 7:00 PM. A pedestrian was walking in the roadway when he was hit by a car.
 
The victim suffered major injuries and was transported to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton for treatment and evaluation. Further updates on his current medical condition were not provided. Meanwhile, the unidentified driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No arrests have been made, and neither drugs nor alcohol is believed to have played a role in the incident. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
