Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Buellton
BUELLTON, CA (November 26, 2019) — A Sunday hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 246 and Avenue of the Flags left a pedestrian severely injured.
According to County Fire Department spokesman Mike Eliason, the California Highway Patrol and Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene around 5:42 p.m. after receiving calls from bystanders. After that, officials found a man in his 40s, believed to be a transient, suffering from life-threatening head injuries.
However, at the scene, police did not find the vehicle. As a result, sheriff deputies believe that the accident involves a hit-and-run driver.
