Jose Luis Vazquez-Rojano Dead in Concord Rollover Accident on Highway 242

 
CONCORD, CA (December 1, 2020) – Sunday night, a single-vehicle crash killed a male passenger on Highway 242 in Concord, California.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on northbound state Highway 242, shortly after 11:30 p.m.
 
Reports revealed that a black 1994 Honda Civic lost control and struck a concrete divider. The vehicle rolled over the divider and down the center dirt embankment toward the southbound lanes of Highway 242 before coming to rest on its roof.
 
Authorities said that an unrestrained passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and another vehicle hit the victim in the process.
 
Responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
CHP does not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
The incident is under active investigation.
